Berth 55 in San Pedro, California

This is Jens' work place after the series of storms. It is hard to work when Berth 55 is flooded.

Jake, It is Pinewood Derby Time!!!

We are ready for the race. Every one has check their cars in. They must weigh no more than 4 ozs. Jake had to add a key to his to make it heavy enough.



Jake's car is orange and has a key on it.



The race track and racers are ready. Stratton McCleod comes in first place.



Jake earned his Ultimate Belt Loop and progress bead. Good Job!!

Anna's First Swim Meet of the Year

Anna has taken up swimming year around. She is on South Coast Aquatics Swim Team and loves it. This was the first swim meet of the year for her. She did pretty good. She was swimming against girls that were older and much taller than her.

After she was all done, we headed off to Starbucks for their yummy hot chocolate. After all, it is January.

Snow, Snow Everywhere - in Denmark, That Is

The weather was been very intense this year. We have had lots of rain. Farmor has reported a lot of snow. This is a picture of my 76 year old mother-in-law shoving snow with Emil - Soren's son. It looks cold.

Sunday Evenings, Beaches and Sunsets

We have a tradition of going to the beach on Sunday night after church and dinner. We go to the same place, and do the same thing. Jens and I bring a book to read, which we never read because the sunset is so beautiful.



We sit in beach chairs and watch the kids play.



We found fun shaped rocks and may even bring one or two home.



My mom is visiting for a couple of weeks. Anna loves Grandma alot.

Adam - The Top Science Student

Adam was chosen by Mrs. Bluestein for a Sycamore Canyon Middle School School for the 7th Grade Top Student for Science. He was honored for the 1st semester of work. We are really proud of his hard work. Way to go Adam.

I remember exactly where I was when it turned the year 2000. I remember I was in San Pedro with all my wonderful neighbors. I remember there were so many people who hoarded food, etc. And now it is 2010. I can't believe it is 2010. Where did the time go.
