Troy and Gabriella or Anna and Jake in High School Musical

Anna and Jake were both in High School Musical on January 20. Anna played Gabriella 1. She sang a song with Lucus, who played Troy 1. She was very animated. Jake played Troy 3. He was very surprising. He sang a song by himself. On January 22, they performed in front of their classmates. They did an even better job.

The Night at the Theater- It's Hairspray!!!

It is the night of Adam's performance in Hairspray. He had the part of Seaweed. He did a great job - dancing, and singing. He loves being on stage. We had a great time.

Number 24 and The All Stars for Adam, Yikes!!!

Adam was asked by his past coach to be on the All Stars Team for soccer. Adam was very excited. He has never been asked before. We did ask how many Sunday games were there? I think the coach was a little shy about telling us the real answer. What a commitment this is turning out to be. There is 4 games a weekend each tournament. I don't think we really understood what we were saying yes to. He is on the a B team. They have A and B team. Some age groups even have C teams. They have not done very good this first tournament, but there is still this next weekend. They have lose 3 of the 4 games that they have played. I know he loves presenting Newbury Park, and he is having a great time. I was talking to another mom about this being our first All-Stars. She said that this could go into May. Yikes!!!!

This was the sunrise out our backdoor one morning last week. It reminder me how much I love the start of a new day. Also, I love the start of a new year with all the possibilities. This year each of us picked a goal to accomplish in 2009. We also wrote letters to ourselves. I am going to hide them and give them back on January 1, 2010.

Here are the goals for 2009

Mom: Save $3,500 by not going out so much.

Dad: Start and continue nightly walks and weekend hikes.

Adam: Watch less TV

Anna: Make more friends and use my softer words before my angry words

Jake: Make more friends and watch my anger.

Well, wish us good luck!!!! Happy New Year!

History Repeats Itself

Yes, history repeats itself. In the our family we have had 3 broken wrist in 14 months. Adam broke his wrist twice in the beginning and end of 2008. Anna broke her wrist on Wednesday night. She was running down our friend's driveway and fell. Doesn't she look beautiful in purple? Adam was so concerned about her. It was cute to see. Adam told me that he was worried about Anna because he knows how she feels. Jens wrote her a cute note.

Dear Anna,

I am sorry to hear that you fell and fractured your arm. Please send me a picture with you and the purple cast. I want to see what $600,- looks like. That will be your birthday and Christmas gift in 2009. No more broken arms, legs, fingers …. Please.

Punktum – punktum – komma – streg – saadan foedtes Nikolaj

Love you
Dad
